Kids and Dogs

KIDS: A pivotal part of GGBY and highlining is safety. This especially extends to participants, educators, and spectators. Below outlines our policy to continue keeping all members of our community safe. As a general disclaimer, we do not encourage young children at this event. If you do bring your children, our policy is as follows:

  • Children must be always under supervision at the event by a legal guardian.

  • Children are allowed as day-only spectators and cannot participate in workshops or highlining. These spectator passes will be sold at a discounted price. Please contact aubrie@slackline.us if you need this pass; these are not on our website. Children 5 and under do not require a spectator pass.

  • If teaching and/or participating in a workshop or highlining, you will be required to have another legal guardian with your child to supervise while you participate.

  • Children must be offsite by 5:30pm.

Thank you for understanding our policy to ensure that all our young supporters stay safe! We hope you can make the appropriate accommodations to come out.

DOGS: ALL DOGS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE REGISTERED, LEASHED, AND SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE WEEK.

If this is not possible, we encourage you to leave your dog at home with a sitter. We also only encourage well behaved dogs at the event that get along with other people and animals.

Dog passes are limited but can be purchased on our ticket page

Since we are striving to create and build back the land that we've impacted, the dog regulations will be more enforced this year. IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND ROAMING, THERE CAN AND WILL BE THE UNFORTUNATE OUTCOME OF ASKING YOU TO LEAVE THE FESTIVAL. We highly value the overall enjoyment and safety of attendees and treasure the land and spaces we have at the Fruit Bowl. Dogs impact this space when free-roaming and they are NOT our priority. We absolutely love our slack community fur babies and really hope this year will be a better balance for everyone.
